Wisconsin Badgers vs. Washington State Cougars
Saturday, September 09, 2023 – 08:00 PM EDT at Martin Stadium
The AI Model suggests that the Wisconsin Badgers will earn an 11-point victory against the Washington State Cougars on Saturday. Wisconsin is just a 4.5-point favorite in this game.
Can Wisconsin’s Defense Stop Washington State’s Passing?
The Wisconsin Badgers earned a 38-17 win over the Buffalo Bulls in Week 1. The Badgers earned over 500 yards of offense and held Buffalo to just 316 yards, with only 194 in the air.
Washington State is much better at passing the football offensively. If Wisconsin takes away the passing game, Washington State will have trouble. The Cougars earned a 50-24 win over Colorado State in Week 1. But the run game added just 90 yards.
Washington State had it easy against Colorado State’s run game. Colorado State doesn’t have much of one. However, Wisconsin has one of the best running backs in the country in Braelon Allen.
He had 141 yards rushing on 17 attempts. His backup, Chez Mellusi, even played better, earning 13 carries for 157 yards. Each back scored two touchdowns.
The Pick
I don’t think Washington State will have answers against Wisconsin’s run game. Take the Badgers -4.5. I’m with the AI Model.
NCAAF Pick: Wisconsin -4.5 (-110) at Caesars Sportsbook
UConn Huskies vs. Georgia State Panthers
Saturday, September 09, 2023 – 07:00 PM EDT at Center Parc Stadium
Our AI Model believes that the Georgia State Panthers will earn a 36-21 victory over the UConn Huskies in Week 2 of the College Football Season. At -3.5, there’s value with the Panthers.
UConn’s Week 1 Performance
The UConn Huskies were impressive in Week 1 against the North Carolina State Wolfpack. The Huskies played against a Power-Five squad and only lost by ten points. Still, the Huskies added just 273 yards of offense and converted on just four of 12 third-down opportunities.
The Huskies earned 6.2 yards per carry thanks to a Victor Rosa 71-yard rush. But overall, that was all the offense was good for. Joseph Fagnano went 14-for-26 and added 113 yards as the quarterback of UConn. That wasn’t very appealing.
Therefore, I’m not super high on the Huskies yet.
Georgia State’s Offense & Key Takeaways
They’ll face a Georgia State Panthers team that knocked off Rhode Island, 42-35. Georgia State’s offense is much better than UConn’s. They went 6-for-12 on third down, and quarterback Darren Grainger went 16-for-20 from the field with 192 yards passing. Grainer is a dual-threat quarterback who can make plays whenever he’s asked.
However, the Georgia State defense was a bit concerning against Rhode Island. The Panthers watched Rhode Island convert on 13-of-20 third downs. Rhode Island added 520 yards of offense, with 408 in the air.
Still, the difference in that game with Georgia State’s ability to earn takeaways. They got two interceptions and didn’t commit a turnover on offense. That’ll win you games.
The Pick
Take Georgia State -3.5 at the college football odds board.

UCF Knights vs. Boise State Broncos
Saturday, September 09, 2023 – 07:00 PM EDT at Albertsons Stadium
Our AI Model believes the Boise State Broncos will pull off a minor upset at home against the UCF Knights, who are now a Big 12 member. There’s nothing better than a home upset!
Boise State’s Path to Redemption
The Boise State Broncos lost 56-19 to the Washington Huskies in Week 1. However, the AI Model still likes the Broncos to earn a win at home against a Big 12 opponent in UCF. I agree.
Boise State ran for nearly five yards a carry against Washington. They didn’t break out for huge gains but consistently earned yardage. Quarterback Taylen Green will need to relax slightly and limit the turnovers. At home, he’ll likely do just that.
The Broncos still held the Huskies to 78 yards rushing. They just couldn’t stop Michael Penix Jr. in the passing game.
But beyond that, Boise State added 21 first downs and converted 6-for-17 on third downs. That’s not great. However, the Broncos put themselves in a position to succeed on third downs and only committed 29 penalties in the game.
UCF’s Last Blowout Win Still Raises Doubts
On the other hand, UCF destroyed Kent State 56-6. There’s not much to it. Kent State stinks and UCF exposed them. John Rhys Plumlee added three touchdowns. However, he also threw two interceptions. He’s prone to making mistakes, and against Boise State, those turnovers will be a bit more significant.
It’s hard to grade UCF on a performance against a team like Kent State. They can do big things, but I think the hype is too much on the road against Boise State.
The Pick
Back Boise State on the moneyline at one of the top sportsbooks.
NCAAF Pick: Boise State ML (+112) at Caesars Sportsbook
