Arkansas Razorbacks vs. Alabama Crimson Tide

Saturday, October 14, 2023 – 12:00 PM EDT at Bryant-Denny Stadium

The best of the SEC West meets the worst of the SEC West to help boot Saturday’s slate and coupled with Alabama having beaten Arkansas 16-straight, it’s no wonder the Crimson Tide are huge favorites over the Razorbacks at top online sportsbooks.

Last 4 in Tuscaloosa: 1-3 O/U

Arkansas held its own against Alabama for a short while after joining the SEC back in the 1990s, but the Crimson Tide have since turned the Razorbacks into cracklings by winning the last 16 meetings.

The last time Arkansas beat the Crimson Tide was 2006, which was also the last time the Razorbacks were favored in the matchup. Arkansas has covered three of its last four trips to Tuscaloosa, ‘Under’ bettors cashing three of those four games as well.

‘Bama at Home for the Next 3 Games

Arkansas lost its third successive conference clash with a 27-20 setback at Ole Miss this past Saturday. The Razorbacks led early in the fourth only to stumble at the end and never established a running game to leave them near the bottom of the SEC in that column.

It certainly wasn’t pretty, but Alabama got the win and cover last week in a 26-20 final at Texas A&M. The Crimson Tide never could get anything going on the ground, but the Jalen Milroe to Jermaine Burton connection through the air – plus some stout defense – proved enough.

Alabama is home for its next three games, and with a visit from Tennessee next week, look for Crimson Tide subs to allow the Razorbacks a late cover, following the college football predictions.

NCAAF Pick: Arkansas +19½ (-110) at Bet365 (Check our Bet365 Review)

Oregon Ducks vs. Washington Huskies

Saturday, October 14, 2023 – 03:30 PM EDT at Husky Stadium

A battle of unbeaten and top 10 teams from the Pac-12 is not something we are not used to seeing this deep into a season, and the battle between the Washington Huskies and Oregon Ducks should be one of the most entertaining on the Week 7 card.

Schools Have Split Last 6 Meetings

While the Huskies have a comfortable 61-48 lead in the rivalry, plus 5 ties, the Ducks have been cutting into that margin by winning 15 of the last 18 collisions. Washington owns current bragging rights following a 37-34 victory last year in Eugene as a 12-point underdog, the fourth ‘Under’ winner in the last five matchups.

Ducks No. 2, Huskies No. 4 in Pac-12 Scoring Defense

Both teams had last week off in advance of this contest, and both teams have done a good job covering the NCAAF odds to this point. Oregon, in fact, is a perfect 5-0 ATS while Washington is 3-1-1.

Their potent offenses overshadow the strong defense being played by both sides, and that leaves me looking for an ‘Under’ winner on the 68½-point total at SugarHouse.

NCAAF Pick: Under 68½ (-110) at SugarHouse

Miami Hurricanes vs. North Carolina Tar Heels

Saturday, October 14, 2023 – 07:30 PM EDT at Kenan Stadium

Upset last week by Georgia Tech, the Miami Hurricanes will be up against it in their attempt to quickly climb back into the win column as they take to the ACC highway for a clash with the unbeaten North Carolina Tar Heels.

‘Dogs Have Covered Last 4 Meetings

By winning the last four matchups, the Tar Heels have taken a 13-11 overall lead in the series. Three of North Carolina’s wins were by a field goal, and three of the victories came with the Tar Heels getting points.

Miami was getting a touchdown on its last trip to Chapel Hill, and that was enough for Hurricane backers to cash in the 45-42 North Carolina triumph. Last year’s 27-24 win in Coral Gables by the Tar Heels didn’t reach the total, ending a 4-game run for the ‘Over.’

‘Canes 9th Nationally in Total Defense

A decision to not take a knee and run the clock out late in the loss to Georgia Tech was huge, but four Miami turnovers before the Don Chaney fumble didn’t much help the Hurricanes. Favored by 19, those giveaways are why the Hurricanes trailed by 7 early in the fourth quarter instead of being up by at least 14.

North Carolina met almost no resistance in a 40-7 rout of Syracuse last Saturday. The Tar Heels rolled up 644 yards of offense and enjoyed almost a full-quarter advantage over the Orange in the time of possession column.

Miami’s defense has nothing to hang its head for in the loss to the Yellowjackets, and the unit will show up again this Saturday to help with an ‘Under’ winner for our final free pick.

NCAAF Pick: Under 56½ (-108) at BetRivers (Check our BetRivers Review)
