The WNBA playoffs have finally arrived following a historic, record-breaking season. Eight teams have reached the postseason under vastly different circumstances. Only one will emerge as champion.

Fans looking to turn a profit on the action have ample betting opportunities, too. In addition to individual game lines, WNBA Finals odds are available to bet on, allowing you to call your shot ahead of time for a better price.

So which team will stand tall when it’s all said and done? Let’s take a closer look at some of the top WNBA Finals contenders.

WNBA Playoffs Bracket

  • No. 1 Minnesota Lynx vs. No. 8 Golden State Valkyries
  • No. 2 Las Vegas Aces vs. No. 7 Seattle Storm
  • No. 3 Atlanta Dream vs. No. 6 Indiana Fever
  • No. 4 Phoenix Mercury vs. No. 5 New York Liberty

The winner of Lynx vs. Valkyries will go on to face the winner of Mercury vs. Liberty. On the other side of the bracket, either the Aces or Storm will advance to take on the Dream or Fever. From there, our WNBA Finals matchup will be set.

A potential meeting between the Lynx and Liberty would be a rematch of the 2024 WNBA Finals, which the Liberty won, 3-2. Aces-Fever won’t be the same without Caitlin Clark, who’s sidelined for the remainder of the season, but a matchup with the Dream would feature plenty of star power.

WNBA Finals Winner Best Bets

This is a crowded field of potential champions. Realistically, any of the top five seeds could win the WNBA Finals. However, some teams are far better bets than others. To get the best value, stick to any of these three contenders.

Minnesota Lynx (+110)

The Lynx were the WNBA’s best team from the beginning of the regular season through the end. Winning a record 34 games, Minnesota imposed its will on both ends of the floor, ranking first in offensive and defensive rating.

Napheesa Collier further established herself as one of the league’s premier players this season, averaging a career-high 22.9 points per game on .531/.403/.906 shooting splits. Collier also kept up her defensive dominance, averaging 1.6 steals and 1.5 blocks per game.

What sets the Lynx apart, though, is their depth. Kayla McBride is one of the game’s elite 3-point shooters. Courtney Williams is an intense playmaker. Alanna Smith ranks among the league’s best in blocks. In short, Minnesota has all the hallmarks of a champion.

Las Vegas Aces (+375)

The Aces have been one of the league’s best teams since 2019, so when they were 12-13 near the end of July, there was legitimate reason to panic. Instead, Las Vegas turned on a dime, winning 18 of its final 19 games – including a 16-game winning streak.

As usual, A’ja Wilson was at the forefront of the Aces’ success. Over the final 16 games, she averaged 26.1 points, 12 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 2.3 blocks while posting .527/.593/.889 shooting splits.

Considering how well Las Vegas has played over the last month-plus, this team should be viewed as a strong contender to win it all. Any early-season struggles are clearly behind this club.

New York Liberty (+850)

The reigning WNBA champions have the longest odds of these three to win this year’s WNBA Finals, but you should doubt them at your own risk.

Injuries to former MVPs Breanna Stewart and Jonquel Jones kept this team from operating at full strength for much of the season, but they still managed to pick up big wins when it mattered most.

With Stewart and Jones back for the playoffs, plus a stellar guard combination of Sabrina Ionescu and Natasha Cloud, the Liberty are as dangerous as they come this time of year.
