On tonight’s WNBA slate, two of the worst teams in the league will have home games against playoff teams. It’s unlikely either home team will win tonight. However, there’s still some value in these games when looking at player props provided by Caesars Sportsbook (check our Caesars Sportsbook Review).
The Seattle Storm are currently 11.5-point favorites at the top-rated sportsbooks. The game is scheduled for 07:00 PM EDT on ESPN3. Ultimately, the Sun are 4-20 but won their last game against the Golden State Valkyries, 95-64. They’re probably feeling good, but now have to face a Seattle squad that is four games above .500.
Then, at 08:00 PM EDT, the New York Liberty will battle the 7-19 Dallas Wings. Breanna Stewart escaped a serious leg injury, but she’ll be out and unavailable for this game.
On the other hand, Paige Bueckers didn’t play in Dallas’ last game due to rest. It’s unclear if she’ll be back for tonight’s game, either.
Seattle Storm vs. Connecticut Sun
Monday, July 28, 2025 – 07:00 PM EDT at Mohegan Sun Arena
Looking back at the first game, the Connecticut Sun rank 11th in the WNBA in points allowed to shooting guards this season. Meanwhile, Skylar Diggins has earned at least 17 points in 58% of games this season.
This is a spot where she can finally break out of her scoring slump.
Buy Low On Skylar!
Skylar Diggins scored just five points against the Washington Mystics last time out. She’s actually scored no more than 14 points in five of her previous six games.
Yet, Diggins has still played over 29 minutes per game over the last ten games. She’s also earned multiple fouls in all but one game over her previous seven.
Plus, Diggins has shot 35.3% from deep, while averaging nearly four threes per game over the last ten games. She’s been good from three, but not good from the field. After all, she’s hit just 36.8% from the field over the last ten games. But that should change against the Connecticut Sun.
The Sun rank dead last in points allowed per game this season. They’re also 11th in the WNBA in points allowed to shooting guards this season. We can expect Diggins to get some more open looks, which in turn, should help her score at a better average overall.
While she’s slumped recently, Diggins has still scored at least 17 points in 58% of games this season. Over her last 20 games, she’s scored at least 17 points in half them.
With a matchup against the Sun, let’s give Diggins a look tonight and bet on her over 16.5 points priced around -110.
Breanna Stewart had a scary leg injury that will keep her out of tonight’s game against the Wings. Therefore, forwards like Leonie Fiebich will likely get more playing time and more volume.
Fiebich has added at least 10 points in 47% of games, but she’s also hit this line in six consecutive matchups.
Fiebich Will Step Up!
Breanna Stewart is out, potentially allowing Leonie Fiebich to see more minutes and take more shots tonight.
The Liberty forward has averaged more than 30 minutes per game this season. However, she’s also added at least ten points in six straight games, even with Stewart on the floor. Without Stewart, her role should improve, and the shots should even go up.
Add on the fact that she’s facing a Dallas defense that ranks in the bottom three against forwards in points per game, and it’s an excellent matchup for Fiebich.
After all, she’s hit this line in six consecutive games and has shot nearly 57% from the field over the last ten games. Fiebich is also a solid three-point shooter, hitting 51.3% from beyond the arc over the previous ten games.
The Wings won’t know how to stop her. She’s super efficient. So let’s grab Fiebich to add over 10 points priced around -132.
