The SuperBook at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino is the proud owner of one of the most popular NFL handicapping competitions in the nation, but it has recently announced it is adding two more contests that will involve the NFL and the college ranks.
Survivor Mode
The Westgate Las Vegas SuperContest has been named the Ultimate Football Handicapping Challenge and is one of many high-stakes football handicapping competitions at the SuperBook. But the world-renowned sports betting palace recently announced two more contests that are certain to attract sharps and recreational bettors alike.
Survivor pools have become one of the most popular NFL handicapping contests and are found at some of the best online sportsbooks, like Caesars and Bet365. But SuperBook has now announced its SuperContest Survivor competition this season, which will require a $5000 entry with contestants allowed to purchase up to 10 entries.
It is a winner-take-all contest in which contestants choose one NFL team each week to win outright with no point spread considered. At the end of the 18-week regular season, the contestant(s) left standing will win 100% of the money with no rake or commission going back to SuperBook.
“We’ve been talking about doing Survivor for the last couple of years,” Westgate vice president of race and sports John Murray said. “We wanted to do something a little bit different, and in keeping with that theme of the SuperContest Gold, we thought it would be a cool idea to do a $5,000 Survivor contest as well for the more high-end players.”
College Capping Contest
Many of the top handicapping contests involve the NFL, with college football taking a backseat. However, SuperBook decided to give the college ranks their due and grant them a rightful place among prestigious handicapping contests.
Thus, the College SuperContest was born, and it will be available this season to those willing to spend $500 per entry, in which contestants must make seven weekly picks against the spread (sans totals) for 14 weeks of the college football season.
SuperBook has become famous for its SuperContest Gold ($5000/entry) and the less pricey SuperContest, which cost $1000/entry last season. However, the cost of NFL handicapping just went up for the latter with the new charge boosted to $1500/entry for this upcoming 2025 NFL season.
“We’re taking the buy-in back up to the traditional $1,500 in an effort to get the top of the SuperContest payouts a little higher,” Murray said. “We want to see the winner and top people in the SuperContest win some more money this year, so that’s why we’re increasing the entry fee a little bit, and we are going to reduce the in-season prize pool a little bit.”
