Still Don’t Trust Alex Wood
Alex Wood has been up-and-down this season. He’s a veteran pitcher who has been through it all. However, his stats are still glaringly bad this season.
Wood has allowed a .189 ISO and wOBA of .394 with low-ground balls and a high line drive percentage. The lefty has also struck out only 18.5% of batters and has walked 9.8%.
He’ll face a Mariners lineup that isn’t very consistent, either. However, Dylan Moore, Mitch Garver and Luis Urias are three bats to look at against Wood who can do damage.
The Mariners don’t need a whole lot of runs with Luis Castillo on the mound.
