We’ve got a potential sweep on our hands! The Boston Celtics have won the first three games of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Indiana Pacers. They’ll look for a fourth consecutive win against the Pacers for an invite into the NBA Finals. That said, we checked in with the AI Model to see how tonight’s Game 4 will play out.

Our computer predictions believe the Celtics will earn a 7-point road victory over the Pacers in Game 4. However, the sportsbooks have the Celtics as a 7.5-point favorite, leaving the Pacers as the valuable play at +8.5.

Boston Celtics vs. Indiana Pacers

Monday, May 27, 2024 – 08:00 PM ET at Gainbridge Fieldhouse

Indiana Won’t Be Embarrassed

The Pacers could easily be up 2-1 in this Eastern Conference Finals. Instead, the Pacers blew late leads in Games 1 and 3 and are now down 3-0 in the series. It’s all due to a lack of experience and not having a closer like Tyrese Haliburton available in Game 3.

That said, they don’t need to close for the Pacers to cover. They just need to continue to shoot lights out and stick around late in the fourth quarter.

They’ve done that in two of the first three games. At home, it’s unlikely Indiana gets embarrassed and loses by double-digits in a win-or-go-home matchup.

Still Shooting Lights Out

Boston has had no problems scoring the basketball. In all three games against the Pacers, they’ve got at least a 55.6% effective field goal percentage.

However, the Pacers have matched. They’re not getting to the foul line as much and have turned the ball over more than typically. Still, the Pacers have shot at least a 53.9% effective field goal percentage in all three games and have grabbed at least 27.9% of offensive rebounds.

Therefore, the Pacers can still stick around, with Haliburton or without him.

NBA Computer Pick

We’d all love some NBA drama. While it’s unlikely the Pacers win to extend the series to five games, I still like their chances at covering at -110 NBA odds.
