NCAAF Odds Week 10 At-a-glance
In this article, I will survey the college football betting lines and focus on two specific games that many people will be interested in because of the high-profile teams that are playing in them.
Those two games are Vanderbilt vs. Texas and Georgia vs. Florida.
Vanderbilt vs. Texas (Texas -2.5)
Saturday, November 01, 2025 – 12:00 PM EDT
This game features a ninth-ranked Vanderbilt team and a 20th-ranked Texas one.
While it might not seem impressive for a team to rank 20th, consider that the Longhorns dropped in the rankings because quarterback Arch Manning was playing very poorly and that the Longhorns have now become more dangerous with Manning playing well.
Having acclimated himself to the immense pressure on his shoulders, Manning has achieved a mixture of efficient passing and high yardage totals against other SEC schools.
However, it is quite likely that Manning will only be the second-best quarterback on the field. Diego Pavia, for Vanderbilt, is a dual-threat quarterback who has become a Heisman contender.
The line opened at -2.5 with Texas being favored. With the Longhorns being favored by less than a field goal, it would not surprise me at all for the line to shift at least a half point in their favor.
Texas always gets a lot of respect because it’s Texas, while many bettors stubbornly remain resistant to the idea that Vanderbilt of all programs is good enough to be ranked ninth. Vanderbilt’s clear loss to Alabama reinforces this prejudice.
However, the line might shift in Vanderbilt’s direction if Manning’s concussion keeps him sidelined.
Georgia vs. Florida (+7.5)
Saturday, November 01, 2025 – 03:30 PM EDT
True college football fans will admire a rivalry game. Georgia vs. Florida is a historic one.
This game will also be exciting because Georgia is a championship contender and yet the Gators won’t give up easily. As evident in its eight-point win over Texas, Florida is capable of knocking out ranked teams.
The Gators have, overall, had a disappointing season because of their previous head coach. With Billy Napier gone, the Gators could experience a momentum boost, as often happens with teams whose head coach gets fired. In any case, Florida has much less to lose than Georgia.
In addition to playing with its customary hatred for the Bulldogs, Florida will play looser.
The line opened at Georgia -7.5. I wouldn’t be terribly surprised if that +.5 entices bettors to bite on the underdog. However, given the fact that. since 2020, Georgia has won each of these meetings by 14 or more points, I think it is more likely that the line moves in Georgia’s direction.
What We’ve Covered and Next Steps
We can’t help being enamored by a good old-fashioned rivalry game.
Georgia vs. Florida will be the most interesting game to watch, although Vanderbilt vs. Texas could be the most exciting one for four quarters.
