Spreads and totals are both very nice, but you’ll usually find even bigger edges to exploit with college football player props. Week 10 is no exception; this week’s best college football picks can be found on the NCAAF props market, with some notable names drawing boatloads of action. Let’s see if we can grab some of that cargo for ourselves with our College Football player props week 10.
NCAAF Prop Bets Week 10 At-a-Glance
The key to betting these NCAAF player props is not to get greedy. Throwing massive bets at the biggest edges on the board will label you as a sharp, and you’ll risk getting your action capped – just like people who count cards too aggressively at the blackjack table. Instead, here are three plausibly “recreational” bets that ordinary fans will be hammering in Week 10.
USC’s Jayden Maiava (Over 276.5 Passing Yards -114)
USC Trojans vs. Nebraska Cornhuskers – Saturday, November 1, 7:30 PM EST
The Trojans (5-2 SU, 4-3 ATS) are one of the biggest brands in college football, and a Top 10 fixture on the public money charts. It’s been a while since the Cornhuskers (6-2 SU, 2-5-1 ATS) had that kind of cachet, although they are making some progress in Year Three under head coach Matt Rhule. Our sources indicate sharp money coming in on Nebraska as 6.5-point home dogs, even while big bets are landing on USC.
This plays perfectly into our hands. Jayden Maiava leads the FBS at 311.4 passing yards per game, and he’s about to face the No. 27-ranked defense on the F+ Ratings at BCF Toys. The projections we’re following suggest it will be a big day for several of Maiava’s receivers, especially starting WR-X Ja’Kobi Lane, who’s +150 to score a touchdown and +1000 to score 2+ TDs. Package with a small bet on USC –6.5 to keep things looking casual.
Tennessee’s Braylon Staley (Over 59.5 Receiving Yards -114)
Oklahoma Sooners vs. Tennessee Volunteers – Saturday, November 1, 7:30 PM EST
Here’s a big SEC matchup with tons of fans on both sides. The big money is reportedly on Tennessee (6-2 SU, 3-4-1 ATS) as 3-point home faves, but we don’t have any indications that it’s sharp money – and the Vols do project to win this game by three points over Oklahoma (also 6-2 SU and 3-4-1 ATS). A small wager on Tennessee -3 won’t seem too out of line here.
It will also help you load up on those Tennessee props. Braylon Staley (78.5 receiving yards per game) is an obvious candidate as their starting WR-SL and their leading receiver with 47 catches; the projections also look good for RB DeSean Bishop (-125) and TE Miles Kitselman (+330) to score touchdowns, despite Oklahoma’s defense ranking fifth overall on the F+ charts.
Ole Miss’ Trinidad Chambliss (Over 267.5 Passing Yards -114)
South Carolina Gamecocks vs. Mississippi Rebels – Saturday, November 1, 7:00 PM EST
There’s a giant pile of sharp money on South Carolina (3-5 SU, 4-4 ATS) as 12.5-point road dogs for this particular SEC tilt. That suits us fine, because the real edge we’re jumping on is with Ole Miss (7-1 SU, 5-3 ATS) and their No. 7-ranked offense versus the No. 21-ranked Gamecocks defense.
Trinidad Chambliss (233.0 passing yards per game) is the man of the moment for Ole Miss. You could also throw a small wager at -125 for Chambliss to find the end zone, but the juicier player props are for TE Dae’Quan Wright to score a touchdown (+195) or two-plus (+1400). Wright leads the run-heavy Rebs with three touchdown catches, so these props shouldn’t look too untoward if you package them with our Chambliss prop and Ole Miss -12.5.
