The NBA began on October 24. They’ve added new wrinkles into the league heading into the year. The NBA won’t allow teams to bench star players for rest as much as usual. Players will now be unable to win select awards, and teams can’t bench multiple players for rest in a given game.
There’s also a Play-In Tournament scheduled for later in the season. This should help teams play higher-level defense throughout the season.
But we’re here to talk about the NBA Championship. Below, we’ve added every team’s odds to win the NBA Championship this season via Caesars Sportsbook. Where’s your favorite team on the odds list?
OddsTrader’s Betting Edge
- Some of the lower-tier teams have a lot of young talent. It only takes a couple of players to develop to surprise a lot of teams. The Pistons, along with the Rockets, could randomly be good this year.
- Meanwhile, Nikola Jokic took the league by storm last year. He didn’t win the MVP when he probably deserved to but took home an NBA Championship instead. If he wins back-to-back Championships, he’ll start to become one of the all-time greats in the game.
- Finally, Damian Lillard finally got out of Portland and joined the Milwaukee Bucks who are the new favorites to win the NBA Championship. The Celtics didn’t sleep on it and went out to get Jrue Holiday and are second only to the Bucks.

Nuggets +420 | Grizzlies +3000 | Raptors +12500 | Trail Blazers +35000 |
Suns +550 | Cavaliers +3000 | Nets +15000 | Pistons +40000 |

Lakers+1100 | Knicks +5000 | Spurs +20000 | Wizards +75000 |
76ers +2500 | Pelicans +6000 | Magic +20000 | |

East Conference
Below, you will find the updated divisional odds for each of the NBA teams to win their division, along with their total regular-season wins, courtesy of Caesars Sportsbook.
Atlantic Division
Team | Division Odds | Season Win Total |
---|---|---|
Boston Celtics | -280 | 54.5 |
Philadelphia 76ers | +380 | 49.5 |
New York Knicks | +700 | 44.5 |
Brooklyn Nets | +4000 | 37.5 |
Toronto Raptors | +4000 | 36.5 |
The Boston Celtics signed Jaylen Brown to the richest contract in the NBA. He’s probably not even a top-ten player in the league. But he’s worth it for the Celtics, who are trying to win a National Championship in this window.
The Celtics removed Marcus Smart from the team. He’s now with the Grizzlies, but they brought Kristaps Porzingis as a main contributor with Brown and Tatum.
On top of that, the trade for Jrue Holiday should make Boston one of the strongest squads in the league, however, they did lose some depth.
Meanwhile, the 76ers’ window is closing with James Harden and Joel Embiid disgruntled. The Knicks are likely the second-best team in the division based on their younger players and guys willing to play their roles.
Central Division
Team | Division Odds | Season Win Total |
---|---|---|
Milwaukee Bucks | -350 | 52.5 |
Cleveland Cavaliers | +250 | 50.5 |
Chicago Bulls | +3000 | 37.5 |
Indiana Pacers | +5000 | 38.5 |
Detroit Pistons | +15000 | 27.5 |
The Cleveland Cavaliers’ window is also closing. They’ve got to make Donovan Mitchell happy, or he’ll be gone in no time. Mitchell has Darius Garland, Caris LeVert, Evan Mobley, and Jarrett Allen in the starting lineup. They’ve got a balanced team and a lot of potential, especially with the off-season acquisition of Max Strus.
With Giannis Antetokounmpo unsure of his future with Milwaukee, this is the year where the Cavaliers can sneak in and win the division.
Southeast Division
Team | Division Odds | Season Win Total |
---|---|---|
Miami Heat | -170 | 48.5 |
Atlanta Hawks | +210 | 42.5 |
Orlando Magic | +750 | 36.5 |
Charlotte Hornets | +3000 | 31.5 |
Washington Wizards | +7500 | 24.5 |
The Heat play in the easiest division. The Atlanta Hawks aren’t competitive. Therefore, the Heat should win the division even without Dame Lillard.
The Magic, Hornets, and Wizards are all very young and have some developing to do first.
West Conference
Northwest Division
Team | Division Odds | Season Win Total |
---|---|---|
Denver Nuggets | -400 | 53.5 |
Oklahoma City Thunder | +500 | 44.5 |
Minnesota Timberwolves | +550 | 45.5 |
Utah Jazz | +4000 | 35.5 |
Portland Trail Blazers | +15000 | 29.5 |
The Denver Nuggets are the best team in the NBA heading into the season. But the Minnesota Timberwolves and Oklahoma City Thunder have enough talent to make noise.
They’ll have to play at a very high level throughout the season and hope injuries don’t happen. But if all works out, the Timberwolves and Thunder can earn first place in this division.
The Timberwolves are ready to give Anthony Edwards the keys to the offense. They’ll also have a healthy Karl-Anthony Towns, Rudy Gobert, and Mike Conley. They’re a balanced bunch that can win a lot of games.
Meanwhile, the Thunder made the postseason without Chet Holmgren last year. He’ll be back for his rookie season. That will be huge.
Pacific Division
Team | Division Odds | Season Win Total |
---|---|---|
Phoenix Suns | +160 | 51.5 |
Los Angeles Lakers | +340 | 47.5 |
Golden State Warriors | +375 | 48.5 |
Los Angeles Clippers | +575 | 46.5 |
Sacramento Kings | +575 | 44.5 |
It’s anyone’s division in the Pacific. The Suns are favorites after landing Bradley Beal in the offseason. Now they’ve got Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and Beal, but they don’t have much depth on the bench.
Meanwhile, the Warriors got rid of Jordan Poole and added Chris Paul. That should help with the chemistry of the team. They’ll be looking to continue their dynasty this season.
Meanwhile, the Lakers are doing whatever they can to compete with LeBron James’ final few seasons in the league coming up.
The Clippers need Kawhi Leonard and Paul George to stay healthy, and the Kings are hoping they can surprise as well as last year.
Southwest Division
Team | Division Odds | Season Win Total |
---|---|---|
Memphis Grizzlies | +140 | 46.5 |
Dallas Mavericks | +200 | 44.5 |
New Orleans Pelicans | +220 | 44.5 |
Houston Rockets | +2500 | 31.5 |
San Antonio Spurs | +3000 | 29.5 |
The Dallas Mavericks couldn’t even make the playoffs with Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic playing together. What will change this year? Nothing.
Due to a suspension, the Grizzlies won’t have Ja Morant for the beginning of the year. But Marcus Smart should keep the hungry Grizzlies working.
