Beathard will likely get most of the snaps in this game.

Detroit’s defense was also much better than Jacksonville’s. They forced an interception and added five sacks on Tommy DeVito and the Giants.
The Jaguars quarterbacks will feel the pressure in this game.

Miami Dolphins vs. Houston Texans

The Dolphins managed just three points against the Falcons in their first preseason game. Skylar Thompson threw two interceptions, and Mike White added another interception in the first preseason game.
That’s some ugly stuff. Miami has Myles Gaskin, Erik Ezukanma, and Devon Achane as big playmakers, but the Dolphins were sacked five times and never got in a rhythm.
Meanwhile, the Texans added a 20-9 win over the Patriots on the road. Houston didn’t get much out of C.J. Stroud, but he’ll learn from his mistakes and return better in Week 2. Davis Mills and Case Keenum got the other reps. Those two are solid preseason quarterbacks.
Plus, the defense held the Patriots to only nine points and allowed nine first downs in the entire game. Houston controlled the clock, added more yards per play, and held on to the ball longer. They’ll likely do the same against Miami.

Buffalo Bills vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

The Bills earned a 23-19 win over the Colts in Week 1 of the preseason. Matt Barkley added 14 completions on 15 attempts and added two touchdowns. The running game was weak, but there were a lot of standouts in the passing game for the Bills. Barkley and Kyle Allen found 13 different receivers in that first game.
On the other hand, the Steelers played four quarterbacks in that first game against the Buccaneers. Mason Rudolph got most of the snaps and looked the best out of the backup quarterbacks. Tanner Morgan threw an interception, and Mitch Trubisky went 1-for-4 with an interception. Pittsburgh’s giving more players an opportunity. Nobody has stood out on the offense other than Calvin Austin III.
Austin III added two carries for 23 yards and has two catches for 73 yards and a touchdown. He’s got prominent playmaking ability, but that’s all Pittsburgh can rely on.
If Buffalo can limit those big plays, the Steelers won’t score nearly as much in this second preseason game.
