There might not be any MLB games on tonight. However, there are still some professional games going on in the WNBA. Tonight’s slate has two matchups, including the Lynx-Sky game at 08:00 PM EDT and the Mercury-Valkyries at 10:00 PM EDT.

The Chicago Sky snuck out with an 87-81 win over the Minnesota Lynx on Saturday. Angel Reese and Ariel Atkins put on a show and earned their first win against the Lynx this season. Ultimately, Napheesa Collier of the Lynx showed out, but the rest of her teammates didn’t do much.
Still, Collier finished with five assists, along with her 26 points and eight rebounds. She’s hit at least four assists in 55% of games, including in each of her last two games. She’ll likely add at least four assists again tonight, knowing she’s facing a Sky team that ranks dead last in assists allowed to power forwards this season.
Collier Could Win This Year’s MVP!
Napheesa Collier and the Minnesota Lynx didn’t get the result they wanted on Saturday against the Chicago Sky. However, Collier played her heart out. She, again, scored 26 points with five assists and eight rebounds, after shooting 50% from the field.
Over the last ten games, Collier has earned 32.3 minutes per game. Her offensive rating is above 106 during that time, and she’s had an efficiency rating of close to 25%. More impressively, she’s turned the ball over just two times in three consecutive games and has added at least five assists in two straight games.
Ultimately, the Sky rank 9th overall in assists allowed. They also rank 13th in assists allowed to power forwards this season. Meanwhile, she’s already coming off a game with five assists against the Sky on Saturday, despite Minnesota finishing with only 81 points. The Lynx are usually much better offensively and should play with a chip on their shoulder after a loss to the Sky last time out.
Collier will ultimately fill the box score and do what she does. Against the Sky, Collier should have many opportunities to land assists.

Phoenix Mercury vs. Golden State Valkyries
Monday, July 14, 2025 – 10:00 PM EDT at Chase Center
The Phoenix Mercury will be without Lexi Held, Satou Sabally, and Kahleah Copper. Therefore, the 10-10 Valkyries are currently 1.5-point favorites at home, despite the Mercury having lost just six games all year.
Golden State is led by Tiffany Hayes and Kayla Thornton. But Veronica Burton has been the most consistent scorer for the team. She’s added at least 11 points in three straight games. She’s also scored at least 11 points in four of her last five games.
Consider Burton to add at least 10 points tonight. She’s hit this in 60% of games this season.
Burton Has Become More Efficient!
Over the last ten games, Veronica Burton has shot 33.9% from the field. Obviously, that’s not very good. However, she’s hit at least 50% from the field in four of her last five games. In the games where she’s got 50% or better, she’s scored at least ten points.
Ultimately, she’s getting the volume. She just needs to stay consistent from the floor. And the consistency will likely continue against the Mercury. Phoenix ranks dead last in points per game to point guards this season. They’re also 8th to shooting guards and really aren’t good at defending guards this season.
Burton faced the Mercury back on July 6 and scored 16 points. She played just over 28 minutes and drew seven fouls. Therefore, she was able to drop nine of 11 from the foul line and still scored at least 10 points despite shooting 33% from the field. If she remains aggressive and continues to shoot better, Burton will be difficult to stop, especially for the Mercury.
