5. An Old-School AFC West Shootout?

The Las Vegas Raiders look to avoid their first sweep at the hands of the Los Angeles Chargers (6-5) since 2018. The Raiders have won two wild overtime games in a row while the Chargers had their own thrilling comeback last week in Arizona.

The Chargers are a 1.5-point road favorite in a game with a total of 50.5 points.

Los Angeles Chargers vs. Las Vegas Raiders

Sunday, December 4, 2022 – 04:25 PM EST at Allegiant Stadium

It was only a 24-19 game in Week 1 when these teams met, but the Raiders did have a shot to score a late touchdown for the lead. Derek Carr was sacked on consecutive plays. Since then, the Raiders have leaned more on Josh Jacobs, who had an incredible game in Seattle with 303 yards from scrimmage.

Jacobs has been the brightest star in the offense this season, reaching that Derrick Henry or Nick Chubb level of play for the Raiders. Seattle was the third time this season he set his career high in rushing yards in a game, and no game was bigger than his last, with his 86-yard touchdown run winning the game in overtime.

Jacobs has been the biggest difference for the Raiders since Week 1 while the Chargers are still relying on Justin Herbert’s heroics to win games. Most games come down to the fourth quarter for these teams, so it should be close and high scoring.

The Betting Pick

The Raiders rank 26th in points allowed and the Chargers are 29th, which is exactly where both teams ranked in that category last season. Expect a good one that hits the over.

OddsTrader NFL Final Score Prediction: Raiders 29 – Chargers 24

OddsTrader NFL Total Pick: Over 50.5 (-110) at Bet365

4. Mike Vrabel Takes Underdog Record to Philly

The Tennessee Titans (7-4) are coming off a tough home loss to the Bengals, and now they go on the road to take on the Philadelphia Eagles (10-1), who had a big win over the Packers.

The Titans are a 5.5-point road underdog in a game with a total of 44.5 points.

Tennessee Titans vs. Philadelphia Eagles

Sunday, December 4, 2022 – 01:00 PM EST at Lincoln Financial Field

There was nothing more shocking about the Titans’ 20-16 loss to Cincinnati than the Titans getting outrushed 108-63. The Titans had an elite run defense, Derrick Henry, and the Bengals did not have starting running back Joe Mixon.

It will be extra hard to outrush the Eagles on the road this week after Philadelphia piled up 363 rushing yards on Green Bay. Jalen Hurts became the first quarterback in NFL history to both rush and pass for 125 yards in a half.

It was the first time all season the Eagles scored 40 points in a game. The Titans still haven’t allowed any team but Buffalo to score more than 22 points this season, so this should be a great test for the defense.

Head coach Mike Vrabel is 14-4 ATS and 12-6 SU as an underdog of at least 4 points, which are incredible records to have in this league. The Eagles have struggled with lesser teams than the Titans this year, and it is an unfamiliar opponent.

The Betting Pick

We like the OddsTrader prediction of the Titans getting the cover and the Eagles getting the win in a defensive battle.

OddsTrader NFL Final Score Prediction: Eagles 22 – Titans 21

OddsTrader NFL Spread Pick: Titans +5 (-110) at SugarHouse

3. Ravens Hold the Broncos Under Again

Baltimore has led by multiple scores in all 11 games this season, yet it still has blown four of those leads after halftime. The latest is another rough one as the Jaguars are not known for comebacks or high-scoring wins. Now the Ravens get the lowest-scoring offense in the league from Denver.

The Ravens are an 8.5-point home favorite with a total of 38.5 points.

Denver Broncos vs. Baltimore Ravens

Sunday, December 4, 2022 – 01:00 PM EST at M&T Bank Stadium

Incredibly, the over is 1-10 in Denver games this year. The total was 36.5 points last week between the Broncos and Panthers, and the game still finished under, with the Broncos losing 23-10. That was one of the lowest unders in the NFL in a game played before December in the last decade.

There are reports of Russell Wilson losing some of the locker room, and that only half of his teammates showed up for his birthday. Regardless of what you want to believe, this looks like a bad matchup, as just about every defense is a bad matchup for the Broncos this year.

Denver is the first NFL offense in 11 years to fail to score 17 points in nine of its first 11 games. The last teams to do that were the 2011 Jaguars (rookie Blaine Gabbert was the quarterback) and 2011 Rams (Sam Bradford had a lousy year). Before that, you have to go back to the 2009 Raiders with JaMarcus Russell. That’s how low things are for Wilson in Denver.

The Betting Pick

This game is a great opportunity for the Ravens to get back on track. They beat the Broncos 23-7 last season. Even if you throw in a touchdown for Denver, 23-14 would still hit the under again.

Until Denver shows any real improvement – things actually look like they are getting worse – then you should keep betting the under in their games.

OddsTrader NFL Final Score Prediction: Ravens 22 – Broncos 14

OddsTrader NFL Total Pick: Under 39.5 (-110) at FanDuel

2. Mike White to Stop Minnesota’s Close Game Streak?

What a story this would be if Mike White leads the New York Jets (7-4) to another big win. He gets a 9-2 Minnesota team that has lived on winning close games all year, but White comes in with the better defense.

The Jets are a 3-point road underdog with a total of 44.5 points.

New York Jets vs. Minnesota Vikings

Sunday, December 4, 2022 – 01:00 PM EST at U.S. Bank Stadium

Minnesota is +5 in scoring differential, the lowest ever for a 9-2 team in NFL history. A blowout loss (40-3) to Dallas and an 8-0 record in close games is how the Vikings have pulled this off. The Vikings have already come back to win in the fourth quarter six times this season, something that Kirk Cousins-led teams did six times in the previous five seasons combined.

The Jets, meanwhile, bring a No. 4 scoring defense with a stud rookie corner named Sauce Gardner. He has not had a bad game since Week 3, and you can expect him to get his share of snaps guarding Justin Jefferson, who had another huge game against the Patriots on Thanksgiving. Containing Jefferson is key to slowing this offense down.

If White can protect the ball and play like he has in most of the few games we have seen him, with good decision-making and accuracy, then the Jets should have a good performance in this game.

The Vikings are ripe for losing a close game as no team keeps winning those over and over in the NFL. The league is too hard to keep that going.

The Betting Pick

Seeing the final score prediction from OddsTrader made sense as a low-scoring game where the Vikings finally do not come back in the final quarter. Let’s roll with Mike White, the decision that may have just saved the Jets’ season as there is no way they get this level of quarterback play from Zach Wilson.

OddsTrader NFL Final Score Prediction: Jets 21 – Vikings 20

OddsTrader NFL Spread Pick: Jets +3 (-105) at SBK

1. Two Division Leaders Meet in San Francisco

One of the best games this Sunday is when the Miami Dolphins (8-3) take on the San Francisco 49ers (7-4). Both teams are leading their divisions going into Week 13, and the Dolphins have an MVP candidate in Tua Tagovailoa and a Coach of the Year candidate in Mike McDaniel.

The 49ers have the No. 1 defense in the NFL. San Francisco is a 4-point home favorite with a total of 46.5 points.

Miami Dolphins vs. San Francisco 49ers

Sunday, December 4, 2022 – 04:05 PM EST at Levi’s Stadium

This should be an outstanding matchup of Miami’s hot offense against San Francisco’s stingy defense that has not allowed any points in the second half of the last four games. The Dolphins did not score any points after halftime against Houston, though some of that was pulling starters early in the third quarter.

But this will be a great test as McDaniel is a long-time understudy of San Francisco coach Kyle Shanahan, who he has followed for over a decade around the league.

These coaches should know what the other is doing so well, so it could just come down to the talent on the field. Both teams are pretty stacked in that regard as well with speed, and the San Francisco receivers are so hard to tackle, though the 49ers have a better defense.

Only three of San Francisco’s 11 games this season have gone over 46.5 points. The 49ers just beat the Saints 13-0 last week and running back Elijah Mitchell injured his MCL again.

The Betting Pick

The offenses may be solid in this game, but this feels more like a game with methodical drives rather than a track meet. We love the under and expect a good one to watch as the understudy McDaniel takes on his mentor in his first season as a head coach.

OddsTrader NFL Final Score Prediction: 49ers 24 – Dolphins 20

OddsTrader NFL Total Pick: Under 46.5 (-109) at SBK
