Using our OddsTrader’s NHL computer picks, we were able to place tonight’s bets based on the information generated.

At OddsTrader, you can find statistical comparisons of each matchup, information on past meetings, as well as spread movement, injury news, and even the weather forecast.

We have just three games on our NHL betting card today, all three games involving Western Conference teams and with just 5 points separating the top six, it’s all to play for as this Conference is far from over as we head into the final two weeks of the regular season.

Picks Summary

  • Golden Knights vs. Wild: Under 6 (-115)
  • Coyotes vs. Kraken: Kraken -1.5 (-115)

Vegas Golden Knights vs. Minnesota Wild

Monday, April 03, 2023 – 08:00 PM EDT at Xcel Energy Center

Golden Knights Lead The Way

The Vegas Golden Knights currently lead the Western Conference with 101 points, ahead of second-placed LA Kings by one point. But with that said, the Golden Knights do have one game in hand, potentially giving themselves a three-point advantage.

Vegas come into this road game having won 7 of their previous 8, losing last time out to one of the worst teams in the NHL: the San Jose Sharks. Albeit that was in overtime and they will be eager to get back to winning ways tonight.

Minnesota Can Control Own Faith

Despite Minnesota being 4th in the Western Conference at the time of writing, they can move to within just one win of Vegas with a win tonight, as both teams have played the exact same number of games.

The Wild lead the Central division for now, but just one point separates them from 2nd and 3rd. They have gone 8-2 over their previous 10 home games and have the second-best home record in the Western Conference.

The Pick

This is expected to be a tight game with a playoff-style atmosphere, and the under 6.0 goals pick looks very appealing at -115 betting odds. Both teams combined allow just 5.2 goals per game this season, with the Wild having the 3rd best defense and Vegas 11th best in terms of goals against.

Our computer predicts a 3-2 home win, and given the nature of this game, we are weary of picking a winner here, the under is the way to approach this NHL matchup and our computer agrees.

It’s also worth noting that Minnesota is without their top points scorer Kirill Kaprizov, and they are already one of the lowest-scoring playoff teams in the league, producing just 2.92 goals per game.

Final Score Prediction: Vegas Golden Knights 2 – Minnesota Wild 3

NHL Pick: Under 6 (-115) at BetMGM

Arizona Coyotes vs. Seattle Kraken

Monday, April 3rd, 2023 – 10:00 PM EDT at Climate Pledge Arena

Arizona Not Good in Road Games

The Arizona Coyotes are a total Jekyll and Hyde this season when we look at their home form compared to their away form.

At home, the Coyotes have a respectable 20-14-4 record, but on the road, they have had a 7-23-9 overall record. Although this isn’t solely the team’s reason for their downfall, it is a major contributing factor.

Surprisingly, the Coyotes actually boast the third-best ATS record in the entire NHL, covering the spread in 43 of their 77 games. The Coyotes come into tonight’s road game having lost their previous 7 games and are now just 1-14 in their last 15 away games.

Seattle Looks to Solidify Playoff Position

Seattle has been strong this season, and apart from the top six in the Western Conference, the Kraken has been the best of the rest, currently sitting in 7th position with 90 points scored.

Seattle is clear of the Calgary Flames in their division by 3 points and has two games in hand on the Canadian Franchise.

Although their spot in the playoffs isn’t yet guaranteed, the Kraken only needs to finish ahead of Calgary, and with a two-game advantage and 3 points ahead, they should have no problem doing so, starting tonight on home ice.

The Pick

Arizona might be strong at beating the ATS, but we can’t forget the Seattle Kraken also has a strong ATS record; in fact, the seventh-best in the league, having gone 43-34.

Seattle needs to start winning on home ice again, having gone 3-7 in their past 10 games. The OddsTrader Computer is predicting a 4-2 home win, and despite the Coyotes being a good team at covering the spread, we are opposing them tonight.

The Coyotes have nothing to play for right now, while the Seattle Kraken can’t afford to lose this must-win game.

Final Score Prediction: Arizona Coyotes 2 – Seattle Kraken 4
