Earlier this month, BetMGM debuted Star Trek: The Next Generation digital slot in the Michigan market with plans to roll out the popular themed offering in:
Beam Me Up
Captain Jean-Luc Picard, Deanna Troi, William Riker, Data, and Worf are all symbols included in BetMGM’s new slot offering in Michigan. Star Trek: The Next Generation fans are all well-acquainted with those characters and when they are part of a five-wheel slot machine with 3,125 ways to win, replete with free spins, a re-spin bonus option, and even a Warp Speed Wheel, it can be an enjoyable gambling experience for even the most casual fan.
Oliver Bartlett, BetMGM’s vice president of gaming product and content, said in the company’s release, “Star Trek is one of the biggest media franchises of all time. We are honored to expand its universe to iGaming. Star Trek: The Next Generation is a bonus-feature-filled game that players will love. It is another perfect addition to our ever-growing library of games that can’t be found anywhere else in the United States.”
“We are delighted to launch our second slot with BetMGM and it doesn’t get much bigger than Star Trek,” said Atlantic Digital CEO Sam Hobcraft. “We are very proud of this game and we have no doubt it will go intergalactic. Building on our already deep relationship with BetMGM, this is the start of many big titles to come in 2024. In the words of Picard, ‘Make it so, Number One.’”
BetMGM announced in September that they had procured the exclusive portfolio of Atlantic Digital’s online games. Atlantic Digital is a London-based game studio that created a virtual slot based on The Godfather exclusively for BetMGM’s collection.
“The Godfather remains one of the most iconic movies and it is quite fitting that it is the first slot we are offering with Atlantic Digital. BetMGM is proud to be the first to bring The Godfather to the U.S. and its exclusive online casino home. We are always looking to partner with brands our customers love and game studios that are creating new and engaging content,” remarked BetMGM’s Bartlett.
AD’s Sam Hobcraft added: “We are incredibly proud to partner with BetMGM and bring our popular branded games to the US market. The Godfather is just the start. Branded content has always been at the core of the land-based player experience. We at Atlantic Digital are at the forefront of this movement, and, working alongside BetMGM, we will be bringing the highest quality IP online to the US. We couldn’t be more excited about the potential of this partnership and what it could mean for US customers for many years to come.”
That was the first slot for BetMGM but the most recent, based on the cult TV classic, Star Trek: The Next Generation, has generated even more buzz in the industry. These Atlantic Digital titles add to BetMGM’s collection of online casino offerings, home to over 1500 games, with in-house produced titles by Entain.
