Fanatics Betting & Gaming has announced a partnership with WWE and will brand some of its iGaming options as WWE slots and table games.
Ready to Rumble
Fanatics is catering to all kinds of sports enthusiasts, including those who are inclined to watch professional wrestling. The sports gaming company recently announced a partnership with the WWE and is eagerly creating a line of WWE online casino gaming slots and table games.
This new multi-year agreement will allow its users in Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia access to these exclusive wrestling-themed games on iOS, Android, or PC devices. The agreement is in anticipation of SummerSlam, the organization’s second-biggest event after WrestleMania.
“We are excited to expand our relationship with WWE to now include an exclusive portfolio of WWE-themed online casino games,” said Ari Borod, Chief Business Officer at Fanatics Betting and Gaming.
“This is a natural extension of the WWE-Fanatics partnership, which already includes global e-commerce, licensed merchandise, memorabilia, as well as producing and distributing a growing lineup of digital shows,” Borod continued.
Fanatics Game Studios, in conjunction with Boom Entertainment and Games Global, will develop the following exclusive games:
- WWE Blackjack
- Raw Multiplier Melee
- SmackDown Big Money Entrance!
- WWE Bonus Rumble Gold Blitz
- WWE Clash of the Wilds
Johnny Manziel: Brand Ambassador
Since its launch in 2023, Fanatics Betting & Gaming has aggressively partnered with quirky celebrity athletes, including former NFL quarterback Johnny Manziel, who now goes by his alter ego ‘Johnny FanCash’ to represent the Fanatics sportsbook and global merchandise store.
Fanatics is partnering with Manziel on his Season 2 “Glory Daze” podcast. A press release stated that it is an “interview series from Almost Friday Media that celebrates and explores the most nostalgic eras in sports,” in which Manziel converses with other professional athletes.
“This season we talk to athletes still in the glory daze, former athletes, and even notable fans,” said Manziel. “Having been through some unforgettable moments myself, I know how important it is to share the real stories behind what fans saw on the field.”
Manziel will also collaborate on the Fanatics app to make selections and announce “one-of-a-kind giveaways.” Bringing Manziel into the Fanatics fold is just one more promotional avenue for the brand to reach a greater audience who can be transformed into bettors, purchasers of sports merchandise, or both.
Fanatics has also touted its “Fair Play Policy,” which protects a bettor’s wager on player props if that player exits the contest in the first half due to injury.
“If a player unexpectedly exits a game early, Fanatics Sportsbook pays out the Under as a winner and refunds any Over single-player prop bets,” Fanatics said. “If the player is part of a customer’s parlay, Fanatics Sportsbook will click the Under as a winner and void the parlay leg for any Overs and keep the parlay active with recalculated odds.”
