Picks Summary

Manchester City vs. AFC Bournemouth

Saturday, November 04, 2023 – 11:00 AM EDT at Etihad Stadium

Manchester City

Man City have returned from the international break in a formidable manner, which spells trouble for Bournemouth, who seem ill-equipped for this upcoming match at the Etihad.

The reigning champions have been on a successful streak when playing at home, leading to them being heavily favored at odds as low as -1000 to secure all three points on Saturday.

It’s hard to bet against a convincing victory for Man City on their home turf this weekend, especially given their exceptional performances at the Etihad and their impressive track record of defeating Bournemouth.

Bournemouth

After suffering through six losses and three draws in their first nine Premier League games, Bournemouth finally secured their first victory of the season in their tenth attempt. They emerged triumphant with a 2-1 win over struggling Burnley at the Vitality Stadium last weekend.

This much-needed win allowed Bournemouth to climb out of the relegation zone, now sitting in 17th place. However, head coach Andoni Iraola still faces pressure to string together a series of positive results to ensure the team remains clear of the drop zone. The Cherries are currently only one point above the bottom three and four points behind both Everton and Nottingham Forest in 15th and 16th place, respectively.

Bournemouth’s chances of returning to their winning ways on Saturday are slim, as they have been unable to defeat Man City in their previous 18 league encounters, conceding a total of 48 goals in the process. Additionally, they have only managed to win four out of their 15 away league matches in 2023.

Premier League Matchday 11 Prediction, Odds, & Trends

The EPL betting odds on Manchester City’s moneyline have gone far beyond the reach of a sensible bettor.

The Cherries have only managed to keep their goal unblemished in one of their previous 15 Premier League contests. It is highly probable that they will encounter difficulties in restraining the formidable Citizens side, who have impressively netted a total of eight goals in their most recent three matches following the international hiatus.

And with that said, backing The Citizens to cover a -2 handicap is a valuable betting position when considering the horrific form of Bournemouth this term and Guardiola’s fearless attack force.

Score Prediction: Man City 4 – Bournemouth 0

Supporting Trends

  • Bournemouth have failed to defeat Man City in 18 consecutive meetings
  • Man City won the previous encounter 4-0

Soccer Pick: Manchester City -2 (-120) at Bet365 (check our Bet365 Review)

FSV Mainz vs. RB Leipzig

Saturday, November 04, 2023 – 10:30 AM EDT at Mewa Arena

Mainz

Mainz’s start to the season has been highly disappointing as they sit at the bottom of the table without a win in nine matches. However, their situation would have been even more dire if Tom Krauss hadn’t secured a last-minute draw against VfL Bochum last Friday. Despite this, Mainz’s confidence still seems to be lacking as they suffered a 3-0 defeat against second-tier team Hertha Berlin in the DFB-Pokal on Wednesday.

It’s possible that manager Bo Svensson and his players didn’t want the distraction of a cup run, considering their precarious position in the league. Throughout the match at the Olympiastadion, Mainz only managed to register one shot on target.

Having achieved top-half finishes in each of Svensson’s two full seasons in charge, Mainz will be desperate to prolong their 15-year stay in the Bundesliga. However, their chances of ending their winless streak against Leipzig on Saturday appear slim based on their current form.

RB Leipzig

Leipzig, after a disappointing draw at home against Bochum in October, have since redeemed themselves by comfortably defeating SV Darmstadt 98 and FC Koln in recent weeks. In particular, it was the 6-0 drubbing of Koln that will instill the ultimate confidence in Marco Rose’s squad this weekend.

This impressive performance sets them up for a crucial victory in Mainz as they strive to secure a spot in the Champions League qualification positions. At the same time, fellow title chasers Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund do battle.

Bundesliga Game Day 10 Prediction, Best Bet, & Trends

The Bundesliga moneyline odds have surprisingly gifted us a playable price on Leipzig, as there won’t be a need for handicap or prop bets to boost our value on Saturday.

Mainz, having had a poor start to the season despite their strong performances in recent years, are unlikely to reverse their fortunes against a formidable Leipzig team.

Leipzig’s current form, including three consecutive away victories in the Bundesliga, instills confidence in their ability to secure a fourth win, especially with Openda excelling in their attacking line.

Score Prediction: Mainz 0 – RB Leipzig 3

Supporting Trends

  • Leipzig have won 6 of their 9 Bundesliga fixtures this term
  • Mainz are winless, and rock bottom of the table with 24 goals conceded

Soccer Pick: RB Leipzig ML (-165) at Caesars Sportsbook (check our Caesars Sportsbook Review)
