Picks Summary
- Pistons vs. Magic: Markelle Fultz Over 14.5 Points (-111) at BetMGM

Detroit Pistons vs. Orlando Magic
Thursday, February 23, 2023 – 07:00 PM EST at Amway Center
Markelle Fultz (Orlando Magic)
- Over 14.5 Points Scored
The Orlando Magic continue their push towards respectability and will be striving for a playoff spot this season. To do so, they need to win games such as tonight’s matchup against the Detroit Pistons. They host the Pistons, who are one of the worst teams in the NBA.
Orlando is in 13th place in the Eastern Conference but there are only four games behind Toronto for a 10th-place position that will qualify them for the Play-In tournament.
The Pick
The development of Markelle Fultz has been huge in the Magic’s recent surge. Although Fultz only averages 13 points per game he has gone over this point prop total in seven of his last eight outings. Fultz has become the player that many expected him to be when he was drafted number one overall out of Washington.
Markelle Fultz should have a good matchup tonight against a Detroit team that struggles on the defensive end.
NBA Prop Pick: Markelle Fultz Over 14.5 Points (-111) at BetMGM
Memphis Grizzlies vs. Philadelphia 76ers
Thursday, February 23, 2023 – 07:30 PM EST at Wells Fargo Center
De’Anthony Melton (Philadelphia 76ers)
- Under 5.5 Rebounds
The Philadelphia 76ers headed into the All-Star break with a four-game winning streak. They will look to keep that streak going against one of the best teams in the NBA, the Memphis Grizzlies.
The Grizzlies are also playing well and won three of their last four games before the All-Star break. This should be a strong game between two talented teams.
The Pick
De’Anthony Melton has become a strong role player for the Philadelphia 76ers this season. Still, I’m surprised that DraftKings set this prop so high.
Melton averages 4.2 rebounds per game this season. However, he has failed to go over this number in his last eight games. The last time he has gotten more than six rebounds was in January.
We will take advantage of this misprice by DraftKings to win another player prop wager.
NBA Prop Pick: Under 5.5 Rebounds (-155) at DraftKings
Portland Trail Blazers vs. Sacramento Kings
Thursday, February 23, 2023 – 10:00 PM EST at Golden 1 Center
Damian Lillard (Portland Trail Blazers)
The Portland Trail Blazers and the Sacramento Kings will face off in a game tonight in which both teams will be making their playoff push.
The Kings are currently in third place in the Western Conference while the Trail Blazers are in 11th place. However, the Kings are only five games ahead of the Trail Blazers. In this tightly packed Western Conference, things can change fast.
The Pick
This was another player prop in which I was surprised to see the price. Damian Lillard has only recorded a Double-Double in two of his last seven outings. Lillard has been on fire, going over his point prop total in six of those seven games, but he’s not been putting up the assists or rebound statistics.
This should be priced around -200 so using the OddsTrader app I was able to find a great value.
There should be a fun game where I expect Damian Lillard to put up plenty of points. However, I do not expect to see a Double-Double from him.
NBA Prop Pick: Damian Lillard Double-Double / No (-133) at Caesars Sportsbook
