Bet365 launched in Indiana last week and Arizona this week, making those states the eighth and ninth U.S. markets for the British online betting site.

The British Invasion

The international gaming company, Bet365, whose headquarters are based in Stoke-on-Trent, England, previously launched its mobile sports betting app in Kentucky, Louisiana, Virginia, Ohio, New Jersey, Iowa, and Colorado. But last week Indiana was added to the list followed shortly thereafter by Arizona this week.

Hoosier Launch

The Indiana launch which took place on January 30th, is in partnership with the French Lick Resort, a hotel/casino located in the birthplace of NBA legend, Larry Bird.

“At Bet365, we don’t do ordinary, and as the home of the country’s first professional baseball game, ‘The Greatest Spectacle in Racing’, and a rich basketball history, neither does Indiana.

“New and eligible sports fans in the Hoosier State, renowned for their passion and loyalty, can enjoy the Bet365 experience featuring market-leading offerings like amazing Bet Boosts, the fastest In-Game product, and unique Same Game Parlays”, according to a press release from the company.

Promo

Customers aged 21 and older can sign up for an account at the Bet365 website and take advantage of two introductory offers:

  • First Bet Safety Net of $2000 in Bonus Bets
  • Bet $5 Get $150 in Bonus Bets

The Indiana market has proven to be fertile for sports betting as evidenced by the $503.1 million handle in December which generated $50.6 million in adjusted gross revenue. But the prospects of the Hoosier State legislators passing an iGaming bill would sweeten the already bountiful pot as estimates are that it would deliver a staggering $2.1 billion over the first three years from online casino gambling.

Desert Launch

Only a week later, February 5th to be precise, Bet365 launched mobile betting operations in Arizona, marking its ninth U.S. market to date. The company has partnered with the Ak-Chin Indian Community which has been without a mobile sports betting partner since Fubo Sportsbook shuttered its operations in October 2022.

“Like Bet365, the Arizona sporting scene is Never Ordinary and boasts several professional and college teams, earth-shaking fan-favorite moments, and exhilarating championship events. Just in time for the Big Game, sports fans in the Grand Canyon State can enjoy the Bet365 experience featuring market-leading offerings like amazing Bet Boosts, the fastest in-game product, and same game parlays.”

Bet365 also announced a $1 million charitable donation to the Ak-Chin Indian Community and the community’s chairman, Robert Miguel, stated, “We are excited to partner with Bet365, and appreciate its charitable contribution to the Community and vital services for Ak-Chin Members. Bet365, we will be able to provide our customers a premier experience – no matter whether they visit our sportsbook in-person or online.”

More to Come?

Bet365 became the 17th digital sportsbook in the Grand Canyon State but WynnBET is in the process of exiting the Arizona market, leaving their partners, the San Carlos Apache Tribe, without a mobile sports betting partner.

The Arizona Department of Gaming will seek bids from online operators on February 16th with one tribal license and “no less than one” professional sports franchise license being made available. Fanatics would seem to be a likely suitor to one of those licenses as they have been aggressive in expanding their online sports betting footprint in recent months.
