Horse racing fans in Kentucky and Colorado who have an account at one of the nation’s top-rated online sportsbooks, Caesars, can now toggle between the apps’ horse racing and sports betting menus while accessing funds that can be used for both.

Integration Combination

Standalone apps can be a hassle for bettors who like to play the ponies and bet on sporting events. It is much more convenient for the customer to be able to access one app that combines both menus with funds that can be used on each. Caesars Entertainment has heard the call and announced on April 29th that its customers in Kentucky and Colorado will experience a combined interface of horse racing and sports betting that has been integrated into the Caesars Sportsbook app.

“Integrating pari-mutuel horse racing into the Caesars Sportsbook app is a significant milestone for both our digital business and the sport of horse racing. Our customers will be able to bet on horse racing, whether it’s the sport’s biggest events or daily races from tracks around the world,” said Dan Shapiro, Senior Vice President and Chief Development Officer at Caesars Digital.

The announcement comes shortly before the 151st Kentucky Derby, also known as the Run for the Roses, which is an ideal time to spread the news when interest in horse racing is at its peak. The Caesars Rewards loyalty program has also been integrated so that every bet on a horse or a sporting event will register under one account.

Live Stream Horse Racing

Caesars also announced that it has beefed up its horse racing live streaming, which includes tracks such as Aqueduct, Saratoga Race Course, Gulfstream Park and Santa Anita, along with Caesars’ partner tracks such as Del Mar, Monmouth Park, Keeneland, and Red Mile. But that represents only a handful of the more than 300 horse tracks around the globe whose races will be livestreamed on the Caesars’ app.

“Horse racing plays an important role in the betting marketplace, and we appreciate Caesars’ longstanding commitment to elevating the sport and growing fan engagement,” said Tony Allevato, President of NYRA Bets. “Launching the shared wallet functionality allows Caesars Sportsbook to provide its large customer base with premier racing content through a comprehensive and easy-to-access wagering menu. We congratulate Caesars on their successful expansion.”

Caesars’ relationship with the horse racing industry goes back decades, and it is the sponsor of the National Horseplayers Championship hosted annually at Horseshoe Las Vegas. The iconic gaming company also operates horse racing tracks at Harrah’s Columbus, Harrah’s Hoosier Park, Horseshoe Indianapolis, Harrah’s Philadelphia and Eldorado Gaming Scioto Downs.

Caesars will endeavor to integrate its horse racing and sports betting app in other states as it recently did in Kentucky and Colorado.
