Denver Nuggets vs. Orlando Magic
Thursday, February 09, 2023 – 07:00 PM EST at Amway Center
Michael Porter Jr. (Denver Nuggets)
The Denver Nuggets are quietly increasing their lead in first place in the Western Conference. They have an opportunity to get another win when they face the rebuilding Orlando Magic tonight. The teams have played once this season and it took a Nikola Jokic 3-pointer at the end of the game for Denver to secure the victory.
The Magic have been playing well lately and this is a tougher test for the Nuggets than most would realize. Amidst all the talks of trades, we should be in for a good game of basketball here in Orlando tonight.
Michael Porter Jr. has been a big reason for the Nuggets’ success this season. Porter has a great-looking shot and one of the smoothest shooting motions in the NBA. Porter Jr. is also quick enough to attack the rim if his defender plays him too close.
Porter has gone Over this number in his last three games including a 30-point outing in just 29 minutes against Minnesota. Porter has been on fire and we will continue to ride this trend. With Porter shooting lights out, his teammate Nikola Jokic and his excellent passing ability will put Porter in a great position to succeed
NBA Prop Pick: Michael Porter Over 17.5 points (-110) at Bet365
Chicago Bulls vs. Brooklyn Nets
Thursday, February 09, 2023 – 07:30 PM EST at Barclays Center
Ben Simmons (Brooklyn Nets)
The Brooklyn Nets have made headlines this last week by trading stars Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant. This team has undergone a major overhaul over the last week.
The Bulls were on a three-game losing streak when they fell 104-89 to the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday. Bulls leader DeMar DeRozan sat out the game with a sore hip. During the win streak, the Bulls averaged 123.6 points per game. They hoped to bounce back after their woeful 89 performance against Memphis.
Using the OddsTrader app I found the best price for this at Bet365. The OddsTrader app helped me pinpoint this prop. This app had one of the biggest discrepancies on the board because Over 5.5 rebounds is available at Caesars. Finding these discrepancies is a great way to use the app and get the best price available for the prop that you have selected.
Ben Simmons has been virtually invisible to this team. Simmons has been in and out of the lineup and when he has been in the lineup he has done nothing to cement his presence. Simmons has failed to go Over the rebounding total in his last four games.
Ben Simmons has all the physical qualities of an NBA player, but the mind of a lazy video gamer. Simmons has no competitive spirit and is quite happy to just sit on the bench and collect checks with little to no contribution to the team.
This trend will continue tonight as Simmons will be continued to be phased out of the lineup. In a league of ultra-competitive men striving to win, we will fade the one man who simply does not care.
NBA Prop Pick: Ben Simmons Under 6.5 Rebounds (-130) at Bet365
Phoenix Suns vs. Atlanta Hawks
Thursday, February 09, 2023 – 07:30 PM EST at State Farm Arena
Trae Young (Atlanta Hawks)
The Atlanta Hawks have an excellent chance to get a win when they face a short-handed Phoenix team that shipped off multiple players in order to acquire Kevin Durant. Durant will not be available to play until after the All-Star break and until then the Suns will be playing with a limited roster.
The Suns and Hawks played on February 1st and the Hawks got a dominating 132-100 win. Phoenix will be looking to exact revenge, although will not have the normal complement of players that they are used to. However, Devin Booker missed the earlier loss and he will be in the lineup for the Suns tonight.
I don’t understand why the books continue to place the number for this prop so low. To me, this number should be at -175 to -200. Trae Young has recorded a double-double and six of his last seven games. In this column, I recommended to bet the Double-Double on Tuesday and he responded with 16 points and 16 assists!
Trae Young is using his excellent passing vision and ability to get his teammates involved which has led to the Hawks playing better basketball. The Hawks are going to continue this format and Young has been more popular amongst his teammates since his commitment to sharing the basketball.
Until the books fix this mistake and prices properly we will continue to attack it. Trae Young will continue to rack up assists and we will continue to build our bankroll.
NBA Prop Pick: Trae Young Double-Double Yes (-115) at FanDuel
